Laboratories

The college has well equipped laboratories. Experiments are designed so that the basic concepts are well understood by the students. Advanced experiments in the laboratories, help the students to get an insight into the new frontiers of pharmacy. Laboratories are well equipped with latest high-tech instruments and modern facilities.

1) Pharmaceutics

Pharmaceutics is the study of relationships between drug formulation, delivery, disposition and clinical response. The Department of Pharmaceutics is a place where an unwavering commitment to excellence in research, instruction and service is demonstrated through the extraordinary productivity and success of our faculty, staff and students. We offer a training environment that includes cutting edge laboratory instrumentation and technologies, award-winning faculty, devoted and experienced teachers, and knowledgeable staff.

2) Pharmaceutical Chemistry

Pharmaceutical chemistry are disciplines at the intersection of chemistry, especially synthetic organic chemistry, and pharmacology and various other biological specialties, where they are involved with design, chemical synthesis and development for market of pharmaceutical agents, or bio-active molecules (drugs).

Research in Pharmaceutical chemistry encompasses a broad spectrum of activities including studies pursuant to investigations of the interaction of both drugs and toxic substances with biological systems, and the relationship of chemical structure and dynamics to biological effect and function.

3) Pharmacology

Pharmacology is the branch of medicine and biology concerned with the study of drug action, where a drug can be broadly defined as any man-made, natural, or endogenous (within the body) molecule which exerts a biochemical and/or physiological effect on the cell, tissue, organ, or organism. More specifically, it is the study of the interactions that occur between a living organism and chemicals that affect normal or abnormal biochemical function.

4) Pharmacognosy

Pharmacognosy is the study of medicines derived from natural sources. It is the study of the physical, chemical, biochemical and biological properties of drugs, drug substances or potential drugs or drug substances of natural origin as well as the search for new drugs from natural sources.

Modern Pharmaceutical Labs and Other Facilities
The enthusiasm of Pharmaceutical education lies in laboratory work done by students. Labs used for pharmaceutical research takes place many forms because of the differing requirements of specialist in various departments.

YBCP take pride in our laboratories which assist students to correlate theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Each laboratory is operational with high quality chemicals, equipments and glasswares. All laboratories are constructed as per the norms.
