Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy (YBCP) is the first ever Pharmacy College in Sindhudurg district introducing pinnacle of excellence in pharma education and research. The commitment for total quality management (TQM) and discipline is prime slogan and motto of our college.

Shri Achyut Sawantbhonsale, a visionary & dynamic leader had laid the foundation of YBCP at Bhonsale Knowledge City, Charathe, Sawantwadi in 2015. Spread across 16 acres, Bhonsale Knowledge City campus is situated amidst idyllic hills & lush green ambience to increase the harmony between study and nature.

To cater the need of technical & professional education in Konkan region especially in Sindhudurg district, YBCP commenced from June 2015 with a state of art ultra-modern infrastructure offering B. Pharmacy, D. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy courses. It is recognised and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, Directorate Technical Education (DTE), Mumbai and Govt. of Maharashtra. It is affiliated to University of Mumbai, Mumbai and Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE), Mumbai.

YBCP is having all types of instructional facilities like ICT enabled Class and Tutorial Rooms, Seminar Hall, Library and Reading room, Computer Centre, well and advanced equipped Laboratories, Machine and Instrumentation Room, Animal House and Medicinal Garden. Amenities facilities like Cafeteria, Boys & Girls Common Room, Consumer & Stationery Store, First Aid & Sick Room, Toilets for Gents, Ladies Students and Staffs along with Persons with Disability. Administrative facilities like Principal Office, Board Room, HoD Cabins, Faculty Rooms, Office all Inclusive, Central Store, Placement Cell, Exam Control Office, NSS and Outreach Cell, Entrepreneurship Cell, Research Cell, IQAC Office, Housekeeping & Maintenance. Other facilities like Alumni Cell, Auditorium, Backup Electric Supply, Boys & Girls Hostel, Medical & Counselling Clinic, Mess, Canteen, Sports ground, Indoor Games facility, ATM, Bank extension centre and Transportation. Apart from this YBCP encourages and implements various policies like Academic Policy, Administrative Policy, Disability Friendly Facility Policy, Green Campus Policy, Environment and Energy Usage Policy and E-Governance Policy.

YBCP believes in prosperity of all stakeholders. YBCP had taken very earlier initiation for all types curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular celebration for all round and holistic development of students. YBCP have different clubs under main SPANDAN club which is a merged club for Social, Placement and Entrepreneurship, Academic research, NSS, DLEE, Abroad studies/Aspirants, New beginning & Alumni. Total four clubs viz SENSE, ASPIRE, SAVANT and PLAN-B. SENSE club encourages to develop Student’s Extension, NSS & Social activities and Entrepreneurial Skill. ASPIRE club works on Aptitude, Abroad Studies, Pharma and Indian Research Education. SAVANT club focuses activities /events related to Searching, Analytical, Versatile, Advanced, Noble Talent Club and PLAN-B club focuses activities/events of Placement, Learning, Alumni, New Beginning (Start-up).

YBCP has designed and developed various Policies, Manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs’) for achieving Total Quality Management (TQM). All Employees of the institute teaching and Non-Teaching, Students, Parents and Alumni are the YBCP community. And all are taking this organizational place like a family place, working with ethical and disciplinary practice ultimately to develop Institute, fraternity, Society and Nation.

In a very short span YBCP has gained a very high reputation and public faith for its honest & transparent management. It has earned people's trust that every initiative taken by the society will be against the benefit of people and future generation only.

It has taken a huge stride towards providing the advance technical education to each & every rural student of the region.
